Matrialistic Mondays

Thank you for joining me for another installment of Materialistic Mondays.  I don't know about you but Monday's can be the most challenging day to get passed.  It’s not Hump Day Wednesday or End of the Week/Beginning of the Weekend Friday. Monday is its own personal hell for me.  I despise having to end a perfect weekend just so we can start the week of with Monday.  But I digress!  Viva La Materialistic Mondays to get us through.

Testing the Waters

Today is a good day!  We had our first "photoshoot".  Hince the title.  This is the reason why this blog is named what it is.  We are not professional photogs, models, or stylist.  We did our best for this to be the first so please let us know what you think.

Materialistic Mondays

Since it's Monday I will post a few items that I will almost be willing to give up a limb for.  Since I have grown accustomed to using both legs and arms, for now I will just crave them and be my materialistic imperfect self.  Any criticisms to offer, keep them!  Allow me this one day of dreaming!

I plan on attending the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the de Young Meseum. To see/be apart of history like this is absolulty amazing.  I did however find this video and it made me want to go even more.

Summer Nail Craves

I have a serious thing for nail polishes.  I can't explain it nor do I try to.  Its just a vice that I have grown to except and nurish.  I think summer nails should be a fiesta on your hands.  When your typing away at that report for work that just wont go away you can look down and get an instant pick-me-up. 

So I have taken a few of my favorite colours from my collection that when I wear them I find different ways to show them off. Maybe an extra long wave or writing a note.

Change is always Good!

When I started this blog I thought I would be doing this solely on my own.  But things have a way of happening beyond our control.  Enters one of my best friends.  We talked about this blog for a brief second and I felt that it was absolutely necessary for her to join.  Its funny how things come together.  I won't go into to much detail but we thought of doing this about three years ago but it never came to fruition.  There is always a reason for everything.

So without further ado I would like to introduce Rae. She has always been up on the latest fashion trends so I highly doubt she will disappoint. She is a very creative and talented young woman who I am glad to have along on this imperfect journey.

Different Day Same Routine

Considering I just became interested in make-up I really haven't gotten the most extensive routine in the morning.  I wash my face, use toner, moisturizer (w/spf. we sisthas need it too).  I then prime, foundation, concealer, blush, eye liner, mascara, eye shadow if I'm feeling confident. Ya'll know I'm not perfect!  Then my bronzer and setting powder.  It may sound like a lot but trust me it really only takes me about 10 minutes to complete after washing my face.
